So who am I?
Interesting question. I’m a twenty-something information technology professional... I hold CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, as well as being a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in Windows Server 2003. I’m aiming on completing my MCSA sometime in the future.

My interests...
I like to be diverse in my interests, which include religion, history, politics, technology, fashion, music, art, and economics.
I believe...
-
•There is one triune God who sent His Son, Jesus, to provide a way of atonement for sin available to all.
-
• That hyper-calvinism and hyper-arminianism are both heresies. Scripture I believe teaches that God foreknows all, and yet humans still have free will and full responsibility for their actions.
-
• Pure democracy is a direct road to tyranny.
-
• Stewardship of the environment is mandated by scripture, but worshipping the environment is a sin.
-
• Political parties are irrelevant, Democrats and Republicans act almost the same in office. What matter are ideas. The same can be basically extended to politics in any country. Francois Bayrou said it well when he wrote about the Socialists and the UMP pretending to disagree on everything, but actually agreeing to keep the status quo the same.
My opinions on French politics...
-
• The European Union is a threat to the national sovereignty of its member states. Therefore it should not be made into a multinational supranational government, but rather have its authority curtailed by a proper modification of the Rome treaty.
-
• The 35 hour workweek in France should be abolished as per Nicholas Sarkozy’s plan to make France more economically viable.
-
• The traditions of Europe, both political and religious must be maintained and/or restored to preserve the integrity of the continent.
-
• The Lisbon Treaty must be defeated. All future treaties that advocate a change regarding national sovereignty must be ratified by the people of every member nation.
-
• Someone must keep radicals like Sarkozy in check to make sure the government doesn’t get totally hosed. That means a decent opposition is necessary.
-
• France must regain its place in the world, rather than being subservient to the interests of any other nation or group of nations. This could include pulling out of NATO entirely.
-
• More to come later...
Some thoughts on American politics...
-
• The Maryland National Guard should be permanently de-federalized. The Maryland Guard should only be employed on missions that benefit the interests of the state. Our troops should not be deployable at the whim of the president of the United States.
-
• Overdevelopment mixed with poverty breeds crime and discomfort. People generally prefer space whenever they can afford it, causing the less well off in our society to be crammed into apartments. Apartments should not continue to be built, except perhaps in large cities, where land is scarce. For example, Washington DC, Baltimore, New York, Chicago, Paris, London, etc.
-
• Developer money tends to corrupt politicians and cause for permanent headaches to the residents of that area.
-
• War is terror. Therefore, the idea of a ‘War on Terror’ is entirely bogus. We must make up our minds as to whether or not we are really in this fight to win or not.
-
• Limitless wiretapping is unconstitutional and immoral. We must stop the government’s encroachment on personal privacy.
-
• Real ID is a violation of personal privacy. We must not allow phony ‘national security’ arguments to compromise our rights.
-
• Securing the border is the answer, not illegally monitoring every US citizen. If the government were serious, they would begin enforcing immigration law.
-
•Immigration law should be modified to allow immigrants beneficial to the State of Maryland to enter, and reduce the amount of headaches involved in bringing qualified individuals into our society. It should be difficult for the criminals and those who will depress our economy, not for those who bring something to the table.
-
•We must also find a way to end the ‘brain drain’ that less prosperous countries are experiencing. We might perhaps require that people who bring skills to our country, periodically return to their home countries for a certain period of time to benefit the people there.
-
• Citizenship should be returned to the states, and states’-rights should be strengthened via constitutional amendment.
-
• The Federal Government should be drastically reduced, and the powers not specifically given to it should be returned to the states as the Constitution demands.
-
• Either spending must be reduced or taxes must be increased. The Republicans are cheating our children and grandchildren so that today we may have the semblance of prosperity. This is immoral, and must be rectified.
-
•Note: I will probably be further modifying/updating this sometime in the future...
